Riverwood Nature Center Coming Soon!
Don't miss our open house on Saturday, October 10th from 3-6pm!
Welcome to The Undercurrent, the official newsletter of Riverwood Nature Center.
Riverwood consists of 35 acres of land, with 3,000 feet of frontage along the Apple River, in Star Prairie, Wisconsin. The Apple River is a 77.5 mile-long tributary of the St. Croix River and provides an important watershed to the St. Croix and beyond.
Our organization plans to own, maintain, preserve, and protect the property (formerly known as Utgaard’s Hatchery) consisting of prime upland and aquatic wildlife habitat as an interpretive nature center and preserve open to the public. Available activities will include walking trails, cross country skiing, fishing, permitted hunting, wildlife observation, and environmental and outdoor educational programing.
We invite you to visit our website and learn more about opportunities to get involved in helping us create a peaceful place to escape into nature, in the heart of western Wisconsin.
Better yet, why not visit us in person? Our open house will be held on Saturday, October 10th from 3-6pm. The event is free to attend. Join us for yummy treats and eats and lots of hot cider!
